Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 728Apr 14, 2015 7:43 pm spikeaus85 Yeah guys don't get excited, almost a year to the day ago we got a physical letter that said basically the same thing. Nothing changed. Same. The only thing is, there was no mention of confidentiality etc, which makes me thing a takeover or merger is still possible. Or maybe I am being optimistic. The letter we got today is a load of crap, and to me - doesn't mean a thing. But if the letter in a few weeks comes through and there are PHYSICAL changes in place (i.e. what i have mentioned above), i will be happy. I will see it when i believe it. Really though, nothing has changed for me from yesterday with this letter overall. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 729Apr 14, 2015 7:47 pm My opinion on today's letter from FL. The letter is an example of 'being seen to be doing something when really not doing anything'. It's also insincere as its a 'box tick'. Its what managers do all the time for attempting to resolve conflicts. Another definition of conflict resolution is politics. The letter is a 'box tick', for as we know the Building Commission is breathing down on them and FL need to display publicly they are being nice and friendly with their clients so to win points with the BC. There is an added twist to the letter, it documents FL not being open and transparent with their clients. The letter makes no reference to the Building Commission's activities. The conspicuous absence of any reference to the BC disturbs me most, as the objective of the letter is rendered nonsensical by the absence of any reference to the elephant within the room (The BC). If FL were seeking good public relations with the letter I don't think it has succeed. The letter offers no solutions or measurable time frames. The only positive side to the letter is public acknowledgment that FL have issues. Hopefully I can get to a tv to see it... Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 732Apr 14, 2015 8:14 pm Benchmark Designer Homes were featured this evening on the channel 9 news.
Unbelievably, the complaints directed to the BC about this revolting company go back to 2011/2012, and they are still trading!! My heart goes out to each and every one of you. I sincerely hope that this awful nightmare you are all experiencing will soon reach a conclusion that will see you all progress with your builds, and that you will be able to put all of this behind you. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 733Apr 14, 2015 8:17 pm Interesting watching 9news tonight wonder when its Freelife Homes time to go on tv? I also received the letter from Josh...... Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 734Apr 14, 2015 8:28 pm We have sent an email to Today Tonight about this so called boiling company. I guess we will wait and see if anything comes of it. I really just don't want anyone else being suckered into building with them. They have caused so much stress, time and money in our build. I don't think they realize just how they are destroying our lives. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 735Apr 14, 2015 8:57 pm I couldn't believe how old the complaints were and how long people have been waiting in that news story, and how is this company still trading after 14 complaints? I would think alarms would started ringing after 4 or 5 similar complaints! I sincerely hope you all get a resolution soon and can move on from this experience. Wow - my mouth was open the entire time of that segment. How similar is it to some of our situations! And it worries me to no end about what one client said about how the BC called the director and said simply "we are not insolvent" and that was the end of it. Wow just wow! Wish you all the best.
