Ours happened on Friday. We are still waiting for demolishion approval. Love your 3D rendering mine is all in AutoCAD so looks a little comical as far as colours are concerned. Re: Building in Adelaide with Oakford Homes - Interior Colou 19Apr 14, 2015 7:37 pm Our power was abolished last week too, so now demolition can happen as soon as they are ready to start. That will be the first real action on the site. The 3D rendering has turned out to be quite an important tool in designing this place, particularly in working out details, like the entrance gable and the line of the dropped ceiling. It kind of helps with colours and finishes as well, but the tricky thing there is to get sufficiently realistic textures and lighting for it to be meaningful. It's nice and relaxing doing the 3D modelling though. Sorting out all the selections has been a bit of a stressful time for us. Reigning in the cost is tricky, but fortunately our standard spec is fairly good, so it isn't to bad to fall back to the no-upgrade option. We had about $500 of upgrades in tiling, which didn't seem too bad, but then the tile company came back to us saying that the 400mm shower shelves we'd specified were actually going to cost more, and be $100 each extra over the standard included 200mm one. Given you can buy that 400mm shelf for $33 retail, that sounds like a bit of a grab, so I've queried them on just where the money is on that one!
