I'm wondering how the extra costs are worked out. My builder includes an S class slab and costs go up when you have an M class and beyond. What happens when your slab is S/M? Ask them what a S/M classification is and how does it comply with AS2870. It is either slightly reactive or moderately reactive they can calculate which one it is so tell them to make a decision.If they are still unsure then ask them to do a shrink /swell test.
