Sorry I missed this post. Yes you can be present as long as you let them know in advance. I think it's probably best to let the inspector do his thing though. I went because I was interested but stayed off site while he was doing his checks. Didn't want to distract him with questions galore! You will get the report via email. For foundation he will need to get things rectified there on the spot before the pour. So he will call the slab supervisor and ask him to ask the labourers to apply any agreed changes. The inspector is actually not allowed to ask them to change anything directly but they generally fix whatever he marks with paint straight away. Inspector won't come back to check unless you pay. You will need to send the report to the SS and BC formally requesting the items to be rectified then checking them yourself.
