Browse Forums Buying Land Re: Land Promotion after purchase 3Apr 01, 2015 8:57 pm Crazyk If you get a finance decline letter I doubt that they will want to sell you another, besides if you can't afford the land how are you going to afford the build. Have a look out for cooling off periods. That might be your best bet. Thanks - affordability isn't the issue at all - I have no doubt we will get approved and definitely can afford it, however $15000 is half our pool and something that would have been known about by the builder when we signed, despite them saying they knew nothing about promos coming up. Re: Land Promotion after purchase 5Apr 08, 2015 12:46 pm Do you have the "no promos coming up" thing in writing, like an email? If so, you might be able to argue. But I expect they'll say that at the time to the best of their knowledge, there wasn't. It might be worth speaking to the land agent nicely anyway - it wouldn't hurt to ask the question. By all means you could ask nicely and see if you can negotiate with the land agent. Would depend on what the contract you signed said but it is worth pulling out and losing your deposit? (I know mine was only 2k on my block). Then re-signing. An issue you have to consider with my suggestion is: what happens if someone else gets that block. Is there others available that suit your requirements? Re: Land Promotion after purchase 8May 02, 2015 12:23 am herbie1986 however $15000 is half our pool Must be a small pool, as I've seen pricing more around the 60K mark for a typical family sized pool. Re: Land Promotion after purchase 9May 02, 2015 9:20 am It's about 5.5 x 4m - not huge but the pool itself is $22k and then the fencing and paving another 5-7k Yes, I have. But, I haven't paid yet. They know they did not do proper jobs and I sent the email re: final payment, I cannot pay. They said, we will do 2nd PCI.
