Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 748Mar 28, 2015 8:57 pm I will see my conveyancer over the next two days, if she cannot confirm what Marsden's Lawyers said (ie April/May registration) and we don't receive another update from Cornish by the end of the week then I think a call to ACA may be in order. I trust my conveyancer and I would like to get her opinion as what to do about media pressure. I will also call council early next week to see if they are able to provide some sort of an update..........won't hold my breath though. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 749Mar 28, 2015 9:02 pm I did all that yesterday and they said April/may Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 750Mar 28, 2015 9:13 pm Was that your conveyancer/solicitor Riversidedreamin that said April/May? Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 751Mar 28, 2015 9:36 pm Yes she said that marsdens (cornish's solicitor) said April may. No def date as yet Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 752Mar 28, 2015 10:11 pm Thanks Riversidedreamin. Last time I spoke with my conveyancer, approximately 3 weeks ago, she stated that she had no indication of when registration would be. She went as far as to say that generally registration usually occurs around the sunset date in the contract, in our case that would be June. If your solicitor has been told April/May by Marsden's Lawyers then I would hope that information would be credible. She had previously verified that when Marsden's Lawyers indicate the month they expect registration to occur, then more than likely, it should come close to that month. I guess I will wait and see what my conveyancer tells me over the next two days. My patience is wearing thin. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 753Mar 28, 2015 10:28 pm Sunset date doesn't seem to be too significant for the developer - there have been people extend well beyond the 18mth period stipulated in this clause previously. It is for stages 40+ however positive that the developer has previously stated on record and in formal media releases that this has no bearing on their intentions with registration of land. This can be considered comforting and was upheld, however the vendor will always win in this situation - any conveyancer will confirm that. The developer will know that it will take much less effort to engage media this time around as they are already well aware of the history of their actions - the hard work has been done, the appropriate local and national media outlets are well informed, it would just be a matter of representing the facts and demonstrating that they clearly have not learnt from their mistakes and misguided promises. The works are continuing, but so are everybody's lives and that's what needs to be weighed up. There seems to be some significant financial losses starting to cause very familiar heartache amongst the group, this unfortunately is a devastating case of déjà vu. Stay strong and unite is what I say - with or without media attention, either way - we're investing in our lives here and it becomes very hard to continue to accept any more excuses after such a prolonged series of catastrophes. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 754Mar 28, 2015 10:35 pm Very true riverside_24, thank you for the advice. Yes it is true that the last lot of people have endured a lot of heartache and financial distress and we are feeling much the same at the moment. Whatever happens I agree with you, we must remain united, strong and keep each other informed, so if necessary we can all move forward whether we indeed go down the social media path or not. Time will tell very soon. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 755Mar 30, 2015 6:57 am I amm 100% on your side everyone - i am keen for aca to get involved.. enough is enough. We will end up like the other stage waiting over 2 years it's not right Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 757Mar 30, 2015 9:32 pm riverside_24 Post subject: Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview*PostPosted: Mar 28, 2015 1:55 pm Offline Senior Member Senior Member Joined: 10 Mar 2014 Posts: 119 Springfarm4216, has there been any indication that the last update from the developer will not be happening? Well I think it was stage 33 that waited almost 2-3 yrs that ACA got involved in last year! What are your thoughts cause I am sick and tired of the increases in building costs which could be going towards our upgrades...let me know who is interested in contacting ACA and we can get together and contact them. Thanks Maree Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 758Mar 30, 2015 10:00 pm springfarm4216 riverside_24 Post subject: Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview*PostPosted: Mar 28, 2015 1:55 pm Offline Senior Member Senior Member Joined: 10 Mar 2014 Posts: 119 Springfarm4216, has there been any indication that the last update from the developer will not be happening? Thanks Maree Perhaps a time could be arranged over the coming long weekend where a few people can head down to discuss as a group. Post suggestions/thoughts here and I would be happy to join to discuss as a representative from previous stages to provide insight about what has most recently happened, especially with media involvement. This will hopefully assist with a more speedy outcome as it helps to unite and i always hoped that previous efforts would help future stages...any day except Easter Sunday which is probably best reserved for family time.
