Have a huge Frangipani, Macadamia, and some others which need to go so our new house will fit on the block. Have Demo guys coming in the next couple of weeks and want them out before then. Re: KDR - Sell trees on block 2Mar 15, 2015 4:34 pm We just KDR in Perth and put ours on gumtree. Made about $700 - mostly frangipani snd agapanthus but there was quite a bit of interest. Our frangipani tree went for $400. It was 4 x 4m which could've sold for a lot more but the issue was transporting it (lots of interested people backed out when they realised the logistics). The person who bought it cut it down into multiple smaller ones which might've been the best approach in advance. Make sure it is clear to your demo guy that you are selling the trees as they often stipulate nothing to be removed off site (our guy wanted our frangipani but we wrote into the contract thst greenery wasn't included!). We did try contacting nurseries but had no success. Also, (off topic!) before you KDR make sure the old house is insured with a low excess. We had $3000 in fence damage/replacement and our building insurance company was prepared to cover it until I realised I had put a massive excess ($5k!) on the property as I was sure we would never claim anything as we were going to knock it down anyway! Re: KDR - Sell trees on block 3Mar 19, 2015 7:03 pm Cheers Loza, Yeah the demo people have their own insurance to cover that damage. Thanks for the tips of posting on gumtree. Will look into that option. Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
