Hi guys!
I'm new to this forum and just wanted to see if anyone building in this New Estate Harpley in Werribee?
We are in stage 3 and hopefully will build with Henley but I have no clue about anything yet ... so overwhelming.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Harpley Estate 4Mar 12, 2015 8:16 pm Hey! We are on Attunga Grove. I know what you mean about the fast moving!! Because we were late putting the deposit down and the land being released in May, we are having to fast track the home and land package finance before the land is released. So very stressful!! We seem to have a good finance broker who is holding our hand through it all. We have the studio visit this weekend to look through interior and exterior finishing. Have you been looking into fencing and landscaping yet? We were told may for release of land but maybe even april????? Which street are you on? Re: Harpley Estate 5Mar 12, 2015 8:26 pm We are on Attunga too!!! Just paying deposit and signing contract on Sunday so we are being pushed along at a fast pace lol. We will go to Burbank on Saturday and get the ball rolling in that respect too. Chatting to our broker and getting all that sorted too. So I'm in contact with 3 different people all day every day. Frustrating. Oh and ofcourse conveyencer too. Re: Harpley Estate 6Mar 13, 2015 1:00 pm KaP82 in relation to landscaping and fencing.... we get landscaping in our package but I'm assuming it will be pretty basic so will need to improve to get the "bond" back. With fencing it isn't mandatory to have it so we will do without for the first 6-12 months and then get a permit to put it up. That's a good $6000 over budget so I'm happy we don't have to do it right away. Re: Harpley Estate 7Mar 17, 2015 10:06 am Hi guys, I'm in Attunga Grove too - Stage 3!! We might be neighbors. We are building with Henley most probably. And KaP82 yeah there are way too many guidelines and estate requirements. I wish we weren't in a bushfire area that's a 5 grand gone. Yeah our broker has been pushing us to get everything started for the house since the tie-in date is supposedly beginning on May? kbandcb where did you hear that it might be June or July? I hope not :S Re: Harpley Estate 8Mar 17, 2015 11:56 am We are over by the childcare centre. A nice quiet block.....I hope lol. Think we are about 2 weeks from signing Burbank contract which will be exciting. Finance is such hard work. Brokers are sssoooo annoying. Haha We live in Sanctuary Lakes at the moment so haven't found the guidelines too strict. The builders should be on top of it all anyway. Found the $1000 landscaping bond a bit of a laugh though. Our build office lady said land settlement is never on time. Always delayed by about 1 to 2 months. We don't mind when it actually happens. The more time to save for the extras we want the better. I'm already thinking about lights and wallpaper and trees. Haha Re: Harpley Estate 9Mar 17, 2015 1:19 pm Oh I know where that it! My brother-in-law are building in that corner block near the park on that side of the road ... My block is near the creek on Attunga Grove. I'm so scared to sign the contracts with Henley, haven't done much research about building a new home so it's all pretty scare for us. Not too sure what I need to do my research on to be honest :/ Yeah I heard Sanctuary Lakes has way too many guidelines and body corporate fees as well which sucks. They just want these first stages to look nice in order to sell more blocks in the future, so we have to make a good impression with the landscaping and what not haha, therefore the bond. My husband called Anne today (from Harpley) and she said its still on target. Stage 1 is to be released in 2 weeks! Its all happening!! Re: Harpley Estate 10Mar 18, 2015 9:17 am We have just signed the pre contract forms with Burbank. From here it should take about 2 weeks for contracts to be drawn up an then we will sign asap. If land does infact settle begining of May we would love to try and be in by christmas. Thats my dream date at least hahahaha @Tasminnn I think my husband might know your brother in law. Well at least my husband knows who is building on the corner block. Ask your BIL if he contracts to Dexus in QV in the city !? We might be talking about two different corner blocks but its worth a try hahaha Re: Harpley Estate 11Mar 18, 2015 12:30 pm @kbandcb I asked him and he told me that he does contracts to Dexus hahaha what a small world. Which house are you building with Burbank? I'm building the Bellevue Q1 (discontinued model) with Henley and I'm super nervous about it all. I feel as though I don't know much about what to look out for Re: Harpley Estate 12Mar 18, 2015 12:36 pm Thats so funny ! Im sure we will all meet at the Harpley meet your neighbours day that Anne told us they will hold. Will be a good oppotunity for us all to meet before moving in. Although im sure we will all see eachother when builds start happening and we scope out our hoses after the builders have gone hahaha We are building a smaller home with Burbank (Capri). There is only hubby and I and our 2 year old so we dont need anything huge right now. The Bellevue looks stunning !!!! Re: Harpley Estate 13Mar 18, 2015 9:51 pm Such a small world haha. Oh I'm pretty sure i'll go everyday to see the progress I don't live far from there And yes it will be good to know our neighbours a bit more... I hope I have some nice people around me haha Capri is very nice! Its going to be a cozy home! The model im building im not too sure if you'll find it online though .. maybe you've checked the Mainvue's one? I know they have a bellevue design as well Re: Harpley Estate 14Mar 18, 2015 9:54 pm Re: Harpley Estate 15Mar 20, 2015 3:16 pm Oh I love the layout. Master bedroom and ensuite and perfect! That's going to be a wonderful home ☺ We have been for a few meetings with burbank now. Just sorting finance and then going back to organise contracts and colour appt. That will be the fun part. Haha I realy do hope settlement date is sooner rather then later. A friend of ours has been pushed back month after month and that's what I'm worried about Re: Harpley Estate 16Mar 20, 2015 4:34 pm Thank you so much! We were confused with two plans but we're sticking with this haha We were originally going with Montana Q1 which has a extra bedroom but I feel as though I need more of closet space and a bigger bathroom then another bedroom Yeah we have to sort through finance as well and have our contract meeting and colour appointment! I'm really scared about that haha And yeah I really do hope they stay on target .. Its been changed from 1st Of may to the 15th now. Building the Sahara Q3 with Henley Re: Harpley Estate 18Mar 23, 2015 4:58 pm Hopefully! Our Sales consultant was on sick leave so nothing advanced for about two weeks. I'm planning to meet her this week for the second deposit to advance with everything. Re: Harpley Estate 19Mar 25, 2015 3:18 pm kbandcb we are also by the child care centre, it does look like a nice quiet section. Kids will only be there during the day in the week, so no noise over the weekend. We have started to get landscaping quotes as probably looking at including it into our finance maybe. But have you have any luck with fencing quotes? We have only had one which was around $1900 for our half of the cost for our plot. Its annoying that Harpley haven't put in the fencing and just charged us, as they only want one type of fence, and seems a pain having to get quotes and then liase with your neighbours to split the bills through the fencing companies. We might pop up to Harpley this weekend and see whats changed. Re: Harpley Estate 20Mar 25, 2015 3:20 pm We have signed our pre contract now and waiting for Metricon head office to give us approval with the build and then we can sign the final contract, then it will start getting real! We went over the Metricon studio to get a idea of what to expect when we have our studio appointment. |
