Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Stain Resistancy 3Jul 16, 2006 3:22 pm Stainless Steel- the name says it all.
Not cheap, but I am offering it up as an alternative to Corian (also not cheap) which would have been my other suggestion - RM is on the ball as always! <grin> Having said that, don't underate some of the the new laminates. Laminex's Diamond Gloss for example is pretty tough stuff. Light colours on a benchtop (if it is for a kitchen) are always a bit of a gamble, as there are so many dyes in everything that comes into contact with your work surfaces. My personal advice is normally to look for something with two or three shades in it - the old "Pub Carpet Theory". You can still have a light top, but with enough variety in it to obscure the inevitable minor blemishes. Respect, all. Earl Re: Stain Resistant Benchtop 4Jul 19, 2006 11:00 am I am also looking at having a very light, possibly white or grey, kitchen. Is anybody able to compare (in terms of stain resistance) Corian and Caesar stone?
Also I'd appreciate cost comparison between stainless steel and Caesar stone, ie. is one a lot more expensive than the other? Kristy, if you have any links to any nice white kitchens I'd appreciate it! I am after very clean contemporary look. Thanks!
