Definitely Not.
But thats what you get here for slab on ground the basic min standard
For polished concrete floors It would have to be upgraded..thicker slab and mesh, 2 layers of mesh, control joints ,etc

Re: polishing concrete - heaps of questions! 47Mar 08, 2015 9:38 am makybe1 ajoncs Hello - sorry to ask a question on someone else's thread. But I was wondering anyone knew what Perth Builders allow polished concrete flooring? We have asked Summit and Dale Alcock. Summit came back with a flat no. And dale Alcock said we can do it post handover. Anyone else done it using these builders? I don't believe it is something that can be done post handover?.. Spam deleted Well Joe Unless you warrant/guarantee/insure your work then most people are sketical pariculary Engineers and Builders. I learnt a lot from old Grano workers too..particularly what not to do and what clients should be on the look out for. Here a few things they dont tell you but I will! 1.Specifications ie. Check site compaction, mesh, cover and grade of concrete get it in writing and check where's the data, 13 blows/300mm?, SL62?,25mpa, etc.etc 2. Check the middle of the slab it should be uniform thickness during the pour, Ive seen instances where sand mysteriously appears from no where. I'm guessing sand's free around the site while concrete costs $250m3 3. There is a whole book on analyzing crack patterns (plastic failure), I've often heard grano workers say to me (engineer), where's the concrete going to go, no-ones hurt, my rely is "I pour it to the correct speci's so should you"! 4. LOL ask him for 2 quotes one the ganno worker doing the engineering and another where the slab is going to be inspected and certified by an engineer..LOL, really they should be both the same ..but they maynot be?. 5. there is heaps more...Water content, compaction, concrete drying? Yeh i am passonate about concrete too mate, it is the cheapest and most widely used building material in the world..
