Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 04, 2015 12:05 pm Hi all, I need some advice on colour coding (paint and timber floors) for our main bedroom.. The hallway, which all the rooms lead off, is a black slate, which we plan to keep. With this in mind Iām looking for the following colour coding advice: 1: What type / colour flooring would go best in the rooms? (taking into consideration the black slated hallway) 2: Based on the above, what would be the best matching paint (for main room) for the floors? (want to give our old house a more modern feel) Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea when it comes to colour coding. Thanks, Robbie Re: Colour coding for new floors and paint 2Mar 05, 2015 10:37 am Hi All.. Visually, i see the flush white walls with dark black furniture being a real clash. What do you guys think?
