All painted and totally gorgeous. So happy for you to have your keys ( you do have them just not in your possession at the minute) Your home is just beautiful Rache. Can't wait to see you all moved in. Haha!! Not bad hey kel! Lovely to hear from you chick! Wish I had the furniture to do it justice - gotta wait sadly as almost out of $. Who knew building was such a vacuum for your bank account!!! Will have to start saving madly for all those gorgeous things I just have to have! Blaming belzey for that at the moment!!! The rest of the pretty things will come in time lovely. I think everyone who builds has a sad and sorry bank account for a bit afterwards. Just look what you've got to work with from now! It all looks just gorgeous. Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1205Jan 22, 2015 1:05 am I guess there's nothing we can say to make you love your front doors because you gotta live with it . At least you can just paint over it . I look at my tiles everyday and I wish I hadn't got them but I guess once all of the grout is dirty it won't look that patchy lol . Oh the things we regret . But I guess there is other things to stress about hey rach . All the things will come . Im so much in debt . Lol . But it's strange coz people think we have money . I may look like someone that has money but I don't own anything it's all money that I borrowed from the bank and with that comes a lot of stress . Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1206Jan 23, 2015 12:11 am Oh lovely Melsie! That's exactly what I have told them to do- just paint the bloody doors! The product they used on the exposed beams looks crap on the doors unfortunately, and there are dents in them that need to be filled. So paint them it is- hopefully they can't stuff that up!! And you are so right, there are so many more important things to think about. My OH stresses more about being in debt than me. I keep telling him I will be paying it off long after he is retired! He is 12 years older than me. I say don't worry about it coz I want everything yesterday!! Patience not my strongest trait!!! Haha! Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1207Jan 23, 2015 12:21 am I know right . My last house I waited 5 years for a backyard . You might as well do it now Other wise you do it later and you have to start 30 years all over again . We have decided to put one of the cars into our house loan . And borrow some money to do our backyard . Don't know if it will be enough but it will be a start . But my partners star sign said today don't sign any contract and something about a health issue . I don't normally believe in any of that stuff but it kinda spooked me . Oh I think the doors will look good painted .i Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1208Jan 23, 2015 10:39 am Do what your heart says about the front door ... you are the one who has to look at it all day everyday. Painting looks amazing and I will second the echoes about East West .. go have a look, you won't be disappointed. Looking good Rache! Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1209Jan 23, 2015 11:01 am Love love all your paint colour choices rache!!! Life gets in the way when you leave too much stuff for later hey! Marcia Do what your heart says about the front door ... you are the one who has to look at it all day everyday. Painting looks amazing and I will second the echoes about East West .. go have a look, you won't be disappointed. Looking good Rache! Thanks for that Marcia! I will have to have a Perth trip for a couple of days down the track just to shop! dee_77 Love love all your paint colour choices rache!!! So happy its all coming together for you and I third the trip to East West - they do have so much more stock in store for you to choose from!! Hey dee! Thankyou! Hope all good in your beautiful new home! Looks like an east west visit is a must! Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1211Jan 25, 2015 11:08 am Paint looks great. I have flooded gum for my entire bedroom. Its lovely Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1212Jan 25, 2015 12:00 pm Thanks Leeane. They just finished all the wet areas yesterday and the white duck looks absolutely lovely. My middle son chose the flooded gum- good taste hey! Your bedroom must look beautiful with all walls done. Such a gorgeous grey.:-) Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1213Feb 02, 2015 12:28 am Wow, it just gets busier and busier! Only had one day of painting left, but had to cancel them coz the tiler has started the main floors and doesn't want any tradies inside! Not great timing, but hey! They attempted to gloss my once beautiful cedar front doors in woodland grey - looks worse than ever. Have no idea what they are going to do now. In a bit of a dilemma as the painter agreed to try and match the stain with everything else with no variation, so Summit will no longer accept responsibility and I feel badly about expecting the painter to foot the bill for new ones as he could have told me to shove it and just varnished them. On a positive note my flat panel LED light is installed in the kitchen - won't be everyones cup of tea but I LOVE it. It's 600mm x 600mm, and only about 10mm deep. My sparky needed therapy after installing it!! Hehehe! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Got a couple of finished painting pics for you too - ensuite and laundry. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Had a fantastic shopping week. Ordered some of belzeys gorgeous Kuka chairs - to die for! And we all have beds and bedroom furniture. I chose a white PU leather bed with some simple white lacquered bedsides and tallboy. Handles are same as my ensuite ones. Very simple, and bed is low to the ground which is what I wanted. The cowhide ones were too high for me and too grand for the look I am chasing. Feeling a little stressed about the impending move and the need to successfully coordinate getting everything finished. But still smiling! Little Freckle Face bought Stewart last week with her 5 years worth of savings! Very excited about finally having a pony. We will pick him up from Perth towards the end of March. All happening our way!! Hope you all have a fantastically productive building week. Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1214Feb 02, 2015 12:43 am Looking so good Rache. Sounds like you are having a ball buying lots of gorgeous things for your spectacular new home. Very exciting and well deserved. Thanks kel. Just bedroom furniture at this stage so we all have our own special space. That will be a good start. I have decided against the tolix dining chairs- not comfy to relax in over a long dinner! Looking at the leather chairs at Kuka, maybe in black..hmmmm!! Better pick up some more work the rate I am going!!!:-):-) Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1219Feb 06, 2015 11:18 am Melsie68 I have missing out late night chats rach . Took ages to put up, and my sparky was grumbling, but afterwards he just said 'Whoa, that was so worth it!!' Rapt with my downlights too - lovely clean light which makes all your colours stand out nice. Got 250m of skirting to paint chick, so late night chats out for a bit longer!!:-):-) Re: Summit build in the South West - Painting pics!!! 1220Feb 06, 2015 11:21 am trixee That led panel has some serious kick to it by the looks, gonna be very handy indeed!
