Our Evap aircon seems to just be blowing ambient air temps. Not cooling at all.

We have used this in past years and its been ok (bearable, has some cooling effect) til about 35 degrees on a Perth day.
We had it serviced a few weeks ago and using it all this past week and half as temps crept up to 30 plus, we have not been getting any cool air except for night

I'm going to call the service guys back tomorrow as I'm wanting them to recheck their work.
Before I get all cocky

They said the pads would need replacing next year. How do the pads affect cooling?
Filters were cleaned during service and apparently ok.
Any tips or advice would be appreciated!!!!
