Glass is probably not too hard to clean...I would have easy access to it, up and down with a squidgy thingy, hose it down...hmmmm and you are right, the days you are more likely to be on the balcony would be nice hot ones when you need a breeze...how dare you confuse me even further LOL Re: Glass or Stainless Steel on Balcony 11Nov 14, 2008 7:18 pm Southies Suh, aren't you on the coast ? Isn't saltspray going to be a hassle in relation to cleaning ? Oh how I would love to be that close to the water we are on the coast Southies but it's quite a way from getting salt spray, wouldn't you say kyton (she knows where I am) AND actually our glass wouldn't be right from the ground because we have a concrete lip thingy and it wouldn't even be a full metre of glass Re: Glass or Stainless Steel on Balcony 12Nov 14, 2008 7:25 pm SuH Southies Suh, aren't you on the coast ? How old are your little ones? This would definitely sway it for me towards glass... God I love you donuts...my little ones are 22 and 26, and I only one left at home, haha. Not to say he wouldn't get the urge to jump over the balcony after a few cleansing ales but...I will probably be a .....sorry I am finding it hard to say....... nanna within about 3 years, SO I will have little ones again Re: Glass or Stainless Steel on Balcony 17Nov 14, 2008 7:52 pm Now now Su - with the right breeze you would get some salt spray Seriously I think the glass only because then you really will have uninterrupted outlook to that amazing sight - and let's face it that is one of the main attractions of your location. If it's just off your master then any future little ones may not go near enough to it to worry? But I think I remember you having this big marvellous deck with a gorgeous view, so I would still stick to glass for the future grandkiddies!!
