Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 02, 2014 6:13 pm Hi all. I'm gathering a collection of cuttings to establish some plants for our new home. I've a few plants I'd like identified if anyone could, so I can determine if cuttings are viable.... The following plants are in a development that is around 13 years old. First up, these trees are about 5m tall and work well for screening. They have little red berries (Spring time now) and is evergreen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Next tree is also evergreen, about 5-6m tall with a lovely canopy Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Identify some plants for me please. 2Nov 07, 2014 12:09 am I don't know what they are but I've had an idea for a while now that I should make an ap that lets you take a photo of a plant and it IDs it for you. ..I bet one already exists .. off to the play store.. Lovely green leaves. Is the trunk sort of mottled. Can grow quite a few metres high. Likes water - but is pretty hardy. Gives good shade to the garden. Grows in sand too ... Re: Identify some plants for me please. 7Apr 06, 2015 7:40 pm Thanks all. The first plant is definately murraya paniculata. After our recent heavy rain, little white flowers broke out. Have decided to use Lilly Pilly Red Head or Big Red as a screen at the back fence of our new place. 1 428 Murraya could be a great option for you. It creates a great tall screening hedge but doesn't drop fruit like lily pilly. The flowers smell divine. 2 10320 Hi VK, Think it's worth investing time in an Owner Builder course to equip you with basic knowledge on Australian Building Industry and its regulations.
