Yup very valid point there.... Ok so noise or cool ?. Building Upside down house in Wantirna VIC Current Stage: Procrastination... it's just all too hard.... You have to way up how you will get most benefit. Will you have enough storage in the fridge freezer for what really needs to be cool? Will you get more use out of extra prep/clean up area? Or more use as a cool room? I personally think it's a waste of a lot of space as a cool room... BUT it's all about what will work best for you! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: What goes where ? I really like the idea of the dishwasher in there (as I am a truly messy person and can imagine having dishes constantly in the sink), but I'm not sure if it would feel like I'd be constantly lugging things into another room to get washed, and then have to bring them all out again. i think I keep doing my head in trying to figure out what would be the best options!!! Re: What goes where ? (Butlers Pantry contents v Main Kitchen) 12Nov 14, 2008 8:41 pm I think I agree with you there. Having a look at the list of things I'm planning to store where (which thankfully is very similar to the queen of storage's list so I'm not being delusional) most of the items in the kitchen need to be washed. Who wants to lug a table serving for 6 along with all the pots, pans etc to another room ?. I think I'm keeping the dishwasher out in the main area and just getting a quiet one. (Butlers Pantry contents v Main Kitchen) 13Nov 15, 2008 8:56 pm I have a noisy dishwasher but was told today by the lady demonstrating my oven that her Neff dishwasher is so quiet she can only hear a tiny swish sound if she really listens for it. Ok, she is a Neff representative, but still, I was convinced and would love to give one a go. Noisy dishwashers in open plan houses are not fun. (Same too for rangehoods!) We are extending our house and adding a Butlers pantry in behind the current kitchen. The pantry cupboard circled is getting removed to make a doorway to add the walk in… 0 531 2 7622 |
