Re: Simonds Lenox Build - Locked up! 83Oct 21, 2014 12:51 pm Woohoo bricks have been completed and we are locked up! Bit bittersweet now though as we can't get into our own house!! The front panel on the corner will be painted 'night sky' (black) too! Most of the plaster has been hung too but they are elsewhere today so hopefully they get back tomorrow and finish hanging! That's good to no just heart, they did a clean but have left a pile of sand still, definitely higher ground than what was there originally! So went down today whilst the plasterers where there and got to have a walk through, they were finishing the cornice so should be done today. I'd have a chat to your SS or Crc about that, tell them it doesn't line up and you aren't happy. I don't blame you at all for being miffed with that. House is looking great. We're building with Simonds too, and I'm exactly the same way - master bedroom just feels a bit small ... Hopefully when plaster goes up it will feel bigger. Did that happen for you? Re: Simonds Lenox Build - Painting has started! 99Nov 11, 2014 6:59 pm Thank you so much Deluxes. We found out yesterday that our SS has had a death in the family so is in QLD at the moment so not going to bother him. But I think I'll send off the photos to our CRC. I'm glad it's not just me! Thank you, I'm really loving it - painters had undercoated everything today, I seriously cannot wait to see it all painted You must be so thrilled with your house, it is amazing! I'm sure once the exhaustion wears off you'll look back and be very proud Re: Simonds Lenox Build - Painting has started! 100Nov 11, 2014 7:02 pm nextbigstep Just read through your build. Did that happen for you? Thank you - I'm loving it! To be completely honest it didn't really make a huge difference when the plaster went on, it still feels a tad small and I wish we could take some of our WIR space and use it but what's done is done and all we need to fit is our bed and tables!
