Our pool guy went bust the day the shell was being delivered - we had insurance - so the head guys (of the franchise) took over. Our pool guy went bust the day the shell was being delivered - we had insurance - so the head guys (of the franchise) took over. Very happy with result and they threw in a few goodies to make up for it all. But - at the time - quite stressful. Now we look back and smile - sometimes I'm hoping you're right saint Mike! What stress for you though. I'd never do a pool build again, 10 x worse than our house build! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING: If you have chosen a salt water pool, with a porous paver (sandstone, limestone, concrete etc.) you will need to consolidate the area from salt attack. A penetrating sealer will not resist salt attack alone. If you need any further help let me know. I have seen to many people not be mad aware of what can happen and when it does happen the client is left holding the baby, looking to blame someone. We are about to dig our pool. Haven't picked coping or pavers etc. What is salt attack? I really want to have low slip pavers as have 4 kids and dont want much maintenance at all. any suggestions which paver the best to pick? want light look. We're using white granite for the paving and coping, it's very much non slip, it's probably a bit lighter than I wanted to be honest, I would have liked the grey, however I don't want the pavers to get really hot so stuck to the white. I'm pretty sure once the pool is finished, fences up, some landscaping done plus the decking next to complete it will look fabulous (fingers crossed anyway!) It's not really white, it's got flecks of gray/black in it. You can sort of see a couple of piles of it in a few previous pictures. I hope your pool is a great success, so many varying stories it makes me nervous what we are starting.
