Hi Bam..I have noticed this to, particularly with the cheaply built, nasty townhouse developments in my area that are sold for a ridiculous amount of money Straight away you can see water stains, cracks and other nasties appearing in these fast 'knock them up' units. Some you can even see the render coming off the walls. I put it down to cheap materials and quick job by the renderer that probably is only being paid a bare minium to do the job. Other reasons...house is built on moving ground therefore cracks are inevitable. Funny enough, I see it mostly in townhouses too! I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat.
