When I had a loan, interest rates were nearly 15%...now that I have cash saved for the house I'm building, interest rates are dropping. Anyway can't complain. I hope everyone is wise and puts their extra money back into their loans. Re: 0.75% Cut in Interest Rates 14Nov 04, 2008 8:28 pm Dale And now we just have to wait and see how much the banks pass on. CBA has already announced they will only pass on 0.58% which is pretty greedy of them. Which puts my loan with CBA down to 7.01%. When our loan was restructured after construction, we gained a further .22% discount off the base rate due to a special offer at the time. No complaints here. Dale Depending on what the others do may have to look at changing mortgage. Dale. Go on then. Bobcat yeh and when they dropped by 1% CBA dropped .20% if i remember correctly No, they dropped it by .80%, not .20%. Three weeks later they dropped by another .21%, independant of the Reserve Bank, so for all intents and purposes the full 1% cut was passed on. Bobcat ...i cant believe that the CBA are still whinging about the cost of borrowing money and yet they are still making billions of dollars profits??? cant wait till my fixed rate term is up then im out of there and into a bank/CU that helps you, not rips you off. Eager Re: Interest Rates CUT 1% Again?- 0.75% Cut in Rates 18Nov 05, 2008 9:30 am If ANZ drop their rates by 0.6 or higher, our mortgage will be under 7% and we haven't even started paying it yet!
I think we have cut over $500 per month of what our minimum repayments will be so far. And with another rate cut due before xmas, it could be more. Thats just more of the principal and more time cut of our mortgage. Might be able to afford kids after all Built with Bentley homes in Doreen All moved in Dec 2009 Now for the garden!
