On a positive note, your houselooks fantastic and it's so very close to finished. You'll be in soon and, hopefully, all the drama will be behind you and you can enjoy life in your new home. Re: Our custom home - down slope - DELAYED AGAIN! 896Aug 12, 2014 1:36 pm I love IKEA is is great therapy! I do hope they get it all finished for you soon! At least it looks like a real house when I pass it on the train now! On a side note, just wondering where did you get the basket/shelf thing that is on your shower rail? I've been trying to find something similar for ages! I didn't want to mention it for fear I'd be thought of as an alcoholic, but since you brought it up I will agree oncewerefurriers Can't believe you were so close only for it to be snatched away again. Thanks I can't wait for it all to be a distant memory! Hamilton23 I love IKEA is is great therapy! I do hope they get it all finished for you soon! I've been trying to find something similar for ages! Glad to know you're still keeping an eye on it for me What time does your train go past at night? I should stand on the balcony and give you a wave The basket on the shower rail actually came with the shower rail, I didn't purchase it separately. Have you tried Howard's Storage World? I have a feeling they stock something like this. MalSannie HA sorry to hear things were delayed again what a bummer I too love Ikea for retail therapy - in fact I'm going this weekend Ikea is great! I'm not a huge fan of the furniture but I love all the bits and pieces they have. I picked up a nice creamy throw rug for the new lounge too So further delays today... It appears that the surveyor can't come out tomorrow because allegedly Wednesdays are his day off. So he is booked to come first thing Thursday. I'm better news we had our curtains and blinds installed today. So happy with them I never realised how hard it is to take decent photos of curtains and blinds when they're hanging, especially with an iPhone! Apologies for the crap photos, I will try to take better ones with a real camera. These are the curtains in the master bedroom. Blockout curtain to the rear and sheer curtain in front. I love these! The photos really don't do them justice. My step-son's room and the spare bedroom (which we are using as study) has the same roller blind. These are a grey colour but the warm lighting makes them look brown in this photo Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Tried to take a photo with the curtains open and failed miserably! Lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The curtain is a lovely mid grey colour Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Here is another photo I took tonight. Seems I can't get the colour right on the iPhone! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ For the two windows on one side of the Mancave we chose dark sheer rollers inside the frame with a very dark charcoal blockout roller on top. These work well against the grey walls. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ There are many windows that we didn't buy coverings for. Unsure whether we will or not. Many of the other windows are up high or are quite private so I guess when were living there we will decide. Our fence guy was back today and should hopefully be finished by the end of the week. I'm also doing a sheer on the inside (like hotel rooms) but I hadn't seen anyone else do that before. Looks fantastic.
