What are people using for their external finishes on their new homes?
Our covenant states:
"1. A range of external wall materials can be used, from masonry to lightweight materials such as linea cladding.
2. The material and colour palate should be used to articulate the dwelling facade and create visual interest.
3. The dwelling shall not be dominated by face brickwork
4. Any brickwork shall consist of a single coloured brick. Blends are not permitted"
So far we like the look of some cladding up top as an accent - but the bottom will be of brick construction.
We'll keep some brick work visible - but will be covering the rest to comply with covenants.
We quite like the look of Moroka - and apparently because the product is acrylic it won't crack as easily as cement render. It's also supposed to be a bit cheaper than render.
Anyone rendered their entire house? Or Moroka'd a good portion?
