My partner's parents house took nearly 2 years to build but there were a lot of changes to be made. I just hope that our build wont take too long specially in council as everyone says Maitland council is very quick with approvals. Wow, that's amazing! We're chopping the garage a bit (won't fit ) and hoping to extend the two smallest bedrooms a little, so hopefully that won't slow things down too much. Hmm those don't seem like major changes but the only thing i can think of is that it might take them a little bit more time because they fabricate the frame offsite so since its not to plan they will just have to re measure and then make it that way. Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 40Sep 09, 2014 8:38 am Hey cubshome, How's your build coming along? We are building Newport 20 through coral (ormeau ridge). Signed contract last week getting the selection appointments sorted for now. Land doesn't settle till October so we have some time to get this sorted. I really love the wood like tile you selected. We have two small dogs do couldn't go for laminated wooden floors. Didn't want tiles throughout so went for vinyl with tiles around the kitchen and wet areas. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1767 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 |
