I've never been a fan of shower over bath, especially as the bath spout is right at your knees when you step in. I actually think shower over baths are dangerous having had one in the past. Every house my parents owned has had a shower bath. I've grown up with them, so best of both worlds. We aren't doing the bathroom for re-selling - this is what hubby and I want! When we do the back half of the house, we're having a wet room added which should take care of anyone who wants to avoid the dreaded "shower bath". Re: Bathroom Renos (paperwork done) 16Jun 30, 2014 11:03 am In small bathrooms they serve a purpose and in a lot of cases where there is only one bathroom plus you need both a shower and a bath, a shower/bath combo is your only choice. I've lived in lots of houses that have had them too and it is very common. Might work for you too? Our screen is curved as above and also on hinges which makes it easy to reach the plug hole Good luck! We are considering either a swivel tap or moving it altogether, good points are bought up here. We were looking at Phoenix Nostalgia, but the sink mixer set doesn't suit an undermount sink. They suggested Bastow Georgian.. but I'm not a fan. I'm looking at something else like Sussex Scala tapware instead. Re: Bathroom Renos (paperwork done) 20Jul 11, 2014 12:54 am Checking the prices of some of the other bits and pieces made me realise that sometimes, their "standard items" weren't that "standard". So with the savings I made with swapping out the taps, the toilet bowl, heated towel rail.. I was able to have a bigger window with more light. Thanks to people in this thread for making me double check I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15362 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 17125 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11748 |
