Still no one from Hibbertia Grove?

Hi mystro (and other future neighbours), just stumbled on this thread.

As the name suggests, we're in lot 40 Hibbertia, and looking enviously at all the blocks around the estate that have progress. We bought at auction but are still sorting builders - will be a custom design if we can afford it!

New to this whole caper too, trying to understand half the things being written about and what the impact will be! I'll keep watching and learning.

so my plans got submitted to council today.

anyone know how long it has been taking ?

DA take at least 6 to 8 weeks, we submitted 30/04 and the builder just called me saying DA approved but I looked on the da tracking and nothing so I will see tomorrow

Our application is finally approved on the DA website.

There's a lot of waiting involved when building. And I'm so impatient.. arrgghhh especially when you see others steaming ahead already

I see few new members. Welcome everyone. Did anyone found the Facebook page? I cant find it.

There is no park or play ground in the estate. Can we request council to arrange one?

I was thinking we should have a community BBQ when the first house is ready to move in.

Hi Lot14swift,

Not sure where they would put a park though? You would need to wait and see how these apartment blocks go up and if there is any space available which i dont believe there would be since it is sold off privately. You best bet is to ask for something near the netball courts, in addition to that, removing the gate completely and adding a wall so no traffic comes into the estate hehe.. (the estate is packed on a saturday morning and there are no residents there yet imagine later).

Good morning all park or playground is a great idea I was thinking emailing council to use the land at the entry for a playground. Not sure what they want to do with that site

Isn't that considered protected bushland ? Please also consider that withers road will be a busy road can't have kids running around there. Not trying to be negative just looking at the councils perspective

I'd suggest of possible to do , between each side of the estate there is a little bush strip, I'd consider removing that, that way there is no hazard.

@mystro they have cleared the area and put in high fences around the cleared land. With a big gate on the side inside the estate

A community BBQ would be great for adults and kids to all get to know each other. I know other estates in the North Kellyville area have had community morning teas organised by the developer with Coffee vans, ice-creams trucks etc.. and they close off a street, kids bring scooters etc.. On fb just search 'Grey Gum Estate' it’s just me at the mo lol!!!!. We have a page for our current estate and it's great for sharing info both good and bad. Although not as private as this forum.
