Shifting a wall or even adding a wall will not cost that much overall. FYI, sliding doors are not great at sealing and they are generally big glass panels which are not the best for sound as they will vibrate. Sometimes you cannot get away from having them though. Does it make any difference if the plan gone to council ? I’m in a similar position except I’m after sliding 3 stacking doors.
