(Yes I've already said it ) Are you able to share how much the pillar "mouldings" (right term?) were? They look so good with the stone cladding inset. Great work again and congrats on getting your keys! First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. My build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69032 Re: Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate - Nearly finished 782May 27, 2014 1:41 pm Thanks so much BS12!!! Unfortunately we got all the moulding quoted through the build (which included the portico and garage pillars and the band around the bottom). It wasn't cheap, it was about $2000 from memory but I can check our addenda for you. The stone inserts were up around the $1500 as well. Just make sure that if you go with moulding that they draw it correctly on your plans...ie that it wraps around the pillar, otherwise any change in render colour will meet on a flat surface, rather than there being a step (if that makes sense). Ours had to be reapplied because they didn't install it as per the plans Re: Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate - Nearly finished 784May 27, 2014 11:59 pm Wow I wish I had paid someone to paint. Im going to hate all that cutting in .i noticed that you have black grout on tge bathrooms floor . Our black grout is all white. I picked.it up straight away .all the cleans havent taken it up. Then we paid to get them sealed I havent seen them since but ss still think they are still white. Which I was like why did you seal them if you get them black, because now they are sealed white. Ss said he will talk to the sealer guy . But just wonted to know how your black.grout.held up . I know that black grout can tend to go white after a while something to do with the water Re: Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate - Nearly finished 786May 28, 2014 9:38 am Lovely paint colour! It definitely makes the elevation look that much grander First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. My build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69032 Re: Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate - Nearly finished 788May 28, 2014 8:50 pm BS12, it will be WAY cheaper outside of the build, I'm sure of it And it is applied really easily so you could definitely get it done down the track. Melsie we have had efflorescence already on our dark tiles (the white line around the tile) but that was sorted/cleaned by Redink....but it comes back apparently!! So we're going to have to keep on top of it. Our ensuite looks ok re the grout for now, but now that you mention it, the boys bathroom grout looks a bit white. So once we're in and mop I will let you know how it goes. Sounds weird that they would seal it before cleaning it back to the black?? I'm now starting to understand why people go white! I thought we were being smart going black, shows no dirt or mould but now it's always going to look like we have soap scum! Haha Re: Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate - Nearly finished 789May 30, 2014 5:50 pm An update!! Painting finished yesterday. Love the colours!!! Wardrobe fitout guy did final measure this morning, carpets were suppose to be done today but they stuffed up our booking so now has to be Monday after we move in all our window coverings Sunday, tiles start next Tuesday It's all coming together. Just ordered our wheelie bins and spent 40 mins on phone to Telstra setting up all our phone, Internet ect! Our side gates hopefully being installed the in two weeks and alarm guy coming Tuesday to give a quote! And we'll pick up a temporary letterbox tonight....and we will call it home next Saturday!!
