I'm new to this forum and have so many questions have got lots of useful info already from here.
We have paid our first 1000 and are paying the rest of our deposit this weekend
Building in lynden view estate kembla grange we have a 725 square metre corner block
Building the Havana one elite as shown at brooks reach display centre
Included for free ( as most people I assume get ) is the Smeg upgrade , free grande alfresco and impressions package
Trying to budget for "colours" is so daunting as people seem to spend so much!
I would like to budget 30k
I want to do a nice kitchen but will most probly consider some of the standard impressions options for the bathroom. I wish I could see what is standard now so I have an idea then it would allow me to decide what other things I can afford!
Tossing up on a 3 rd car garage ( have no idea of price ) and the 2.55 metre ceilings( are they worth it?)
Does anyone have any photos they are willing to send me of and of their "standard " stuff whether it be bathroom kitchen tiles whatever....
How did you find the standard range ?? Hard to know what the showers/toilets are like and how much it would be to upgrade them also as I imagine the standard ones are not great.
Did anyone get the 4 sliding doors into the children's area off the kitchen after build as the door alone is $3800!
Thinking of getting main areas tiles my mjh if price is alright but might do carpet afterwards.
Myself and my husband are both electricians so we can save money on that department .
Has anyone done black walls and black carpet in their theatre room interested to see what it looks like.?
Thanks
Kristy
Hi Kristy, welcome to the forum.
We have completed our build and have been living in the house since December, we have a very dark charcoal almost black carpet throughout the home and loooooooove it and wouldn't change it for the world. I've recently painted our home theatre (ceiling and walls) in a 'Dulux' colour called Raku which is a charcoal colour, it's made such a difference and has definitely made the room feel more like a real cinema than doing just the walls, and certainly hasn't made it look smaller by going so dark. We have yet to finish it off (screen and cabinetry) so I haven't taken a picture of it as yet but I will take one through the week so you can get an idea. You can see the carpet colour and the theatre pre decorated if you go onto my blog
Good luck with everything
Michelle
