I'm hoping the roller door will be in at the end of the week so maybe there will be SOMETHING to photograph for you. Final fitoff soon 156May 23, 2014 2:00 pm Hi all! So went up past the block today (still haven't taken to calling it 'the house' yet) and there is all sorts happening. Downpipes are on and there was an excavator there working on digging out where the water tank is going which is cool. I think I also saw some tiling stuff out the front so I think we might have some more tiling stuff going on. Builder also rang me this morning (I was sleeping in so I was barely awake for the conversation) and asked if we were having a path from the garage to the portico and I said I was thinking we'd just put down some gravel and he was like 'Aww I think I might shout you some concrete to go there, just think it will look a bit better and keep water away from the house a bit more' So we're getting a free path which is amazing. He also just rang to ask if we needed to tile up around the fancy toilet we have Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ in case you have forgotten our awesome 5 star toilet, which I hadn't thought about but of course, he's right. If you're washing hands there you do need to tile around it. Just another example of how switched in he is to the build. So excited for the concrete finish next week, I can't wait!!! So glad your builder is on the ball and being so generous!! I on the other hand feel as though unless I pick up on things, then I haven't got a leg to stand on! And this is our first time building.. and buying for that matter.. Oh and im 37 weeks pregnant with 1st baby too. lol Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: Custom Build (Armidale): Tiles! Final fitoff soon 159May 24, 2014 12:25 am Hi Dream Catchers, I'm sure our experience is fairly rare. Yours sounds more common unfortunately. Building/buying for the first time is so stressful as is! Believe me, even though ours ended happily, it didn't start as good. But I'm sure it's much more difficult when you're about to pop, I couldn't even imagine! Congratulations by the way It sure was m-sass! Bit of a downpour, lots of mud for the plumbers to wade through. They better not have tracked mud through the house! I like having a stalker, I have extra eyes! (feel free to crack the whip if you think they're slacking) Haha.. Thank you Soon plans will be done and selections made, then I'll get a break from building stuff until land titles in July and building begins shortly thereafter I hope! We're just taking it as it comes and going to try not to be too impatient once the build begins hehe Even though we'll probably be dying to get out of renting towards the end! Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10979 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day. Cheers 2 9017 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34273 |
