Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 18, 2014 8:07 pm We have gorgeous old leadlight casement windows in our bedroom facing the street. Only problem is it can be a bit noisy. This might be a silly question, but ... are there any solutions? I expect double glaze type solutions would ruin the leadlight. We will get some heavy curtains for sure. Anything else you can think of? Re: Noise solution for leadlight casement windows 2May 18, 2014 8:19 pm There are places that retrofit double glazing - Magnatite is one that comes to mind and it sits over your current glazing. If not maybe just start with getting some of that adhesive foam seal (not sure of the name). Also contact a place that does lead light for some of what they rub between the glass and lead to get a better seal there too. Bob Bush in summer hill if you're in Sydney would be a good starting point. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Noise solution for leadlight casement windows 3Aug 13, 2014 12:13 pm Late reply from me Robbie55 but thank you!
