Re: Electrical Plan - Suggestions On LED Lighting 7May 14, 2014 8:07 am Well my electrician told me that we only have to have one of a similar DL in bedrooms that size. I've lived in houses that have ridiculous amounts of downlights and it's just plain annoying. In a bedroom you're going in there to get dressed or to relax or to sleep. How much light is really required for that? And most people have bedside lamps. And if you or kids are using it during the day you probably don't need the light on anyway. Just my two cents. Like what has been done in the en suite. Either that or a nice round light fitting Re: Electrical Plan - Suggestions On LED Lighting 9May 14, 2014 9:31 pm I'm planning to put a single bigger downlight for each of the bedrooms, something like the DL16 or DL20 from wattsaver. The beam angle is 120 degrees and if it's too bright, just add dimmers. Otherwise, bedside lamps will supplement it if it's not bright enough. Re: Electrical Plan - Suggestions On LED Lighting 10May 19, 2014 2:38 pm I've installed some of these Domus 13w cool white LED downlights in my parents place. They are surprisingly very bright with the 120 degree light spread. Here's a quick snap of our loung/junk room (excuse the mess) after I replaced the two centre lights with the 13w led. Room would be around 5x4 metres. Still need to replace the 6 others in the room, their on separate circuits, so it gives you a good indication of the light output. I'll be putting the after handover of my house build. What was the original light fitting ? And I thought these were 90 degree angle.
