Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 463Apr 24, 2014 7:54 pm Congrats to Dreamhome, Renski and Airy fairy. All at different stages but all moving forward. We are just back from mollymook today and found that we had fencing and our framing had started. So happy! We drove around and it was a hive of activity everywhere. We saw someone having their piering done today. Hope that was yours Airyfairy. Next door to us was being levelled and the block on the other side is pegged. It is so exciting driving around. I think our area is great. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 465Apr 24, 2014 8:50 pm Airy that's great you finally have movement. How was your tile selections? We deleted all but wet area flooring. Sunrise - what a nice surprise to return from being away to find framing started. I've requested the group airy. Happy to help out with admin if you need. I love my FB groups and would love to get right behind a community group for the area. Such a great way to all stay in touch. I've even thought about a public mulgoa rise page. Something that's not so personal but more for the public to stay in touch with news and events. There is a GP town centre one but it's not that active. Do you know if there is an MR page? Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 466Apr 24, 2014 9:07 pm Hi Guys. I am just about to start things rolling to build my house at MR, but i have been told i may need to get a rainwater tank installed if there is no recycled water onsite... I cant find any info about this, and Jeff is away for a few weeks. Do any of you guys know?? Cheers Yogi Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 468Apr 24, 2014 9:28 pm Hi Yogi and welcome Renski, tile selection was good. We went in with a picture and while I didn't quite get what I wanted, I wasn't prepared to pay an additional $13k for tile upgrades. That is above and beyond what we have saved. We are doing all wet areas the same - black and white. Soft white/grey living areas with a grey outdoor tiles with the same pattern for portico and al fresco. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 469Apr 24, 2014 9:46 pm Thanks AiryFairy and Sunrise for the welcome and info. Looks like ill be shelling out a bit more cash. I've been reading this forum for a while now, and you guys are such nice people. I've just had an offer on my house, just waiting for the cash to start flowing then i can get the ball rolling on a Jandsen Home. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 470Apr 24, 2014 9:51 pm Welcome yogi. Good luck selling your house. I hope you get what you need. Always money to fork out our tank is a slimline tank 3000l I believe that's the minimum council requirement. I hope they don't charge you too much Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 475Apr 25, 2014 8:53 am Welcome YogiBear! Whereabouts is your block? Good luck with the sale of your house too! Sunrise... How good was your frame? I saw it had been partially installed but hadn't seen you comment. That would have been such a nice surprise to come back to. Building the Villina Grande Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 476Apr 25, 2014 4:06 pm Thanks Dream, I am pretty sure i have sold, had an offer of what $$ i wanted, just waiting for cooling off and inspections, until i tell people i have sold. I'm a bit over cautious with things. I should be in James Riley Dr, at the end of Yerrang Ave. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 477Apr 25, 2014 8:04 pm Dreamhome. We were a bit naughty today and had a walk on our slab for the first time. Pumped the air a bit. Great to feel it under my feet after so long. Then we got to check out the frames, doorways, windows etc. all seem to be in the right place. We have a camera on site so I am sure we have been seen! Congrats Yogibear. Fun times ahead for you. Our neighbors are moving along with there builds with slabs or form work etc. Getting a little exciting now. Congratulations on the progress of a frame.
