Very Happy! Has anyone had their front landscaping done by HBC? If so were there many options to choose from? Pricing not to scary? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 963Apr 09, 2014 6:11 pm that's great news aurora. we had to have landscaping through hbc to gain our finance through blubay. it cost us $3095 for our front. I think there was 4 options to choose from. we would have done this ourselves if we could have. woulda been cheaper! but at least we only have to worry about the back straight away. That's awesome progress. So happy for you after we both started this such a long time ago now That's awesome Aurora912- it must be a big relief to have colours you are 100% happy with...it makes all the difference. I'm in the same situation with landscaping as Ruby123 and same price. I didn't like their designs at all but I think ours will change a bit because of the engineering report stating that grass/lawn can't go up to the house due to it holding moisture which can affect the slab over the years. Our landscaping should be starting in about a week so I will post some pics. Our "house presentation" is expected to happen the start of May. Yay! I'm going with bluebay as well, I assume that was some kind of deal or old requirement as I haven't heard anything about landscaping. It's another chunk of cash but saves a headache after handover and dealing with developer guidelines. Look forward to seeing everyones progress as things move along Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 967Apr 10, 2014 1:13 pm Hi all! I've been following you all over the last few months, but haven't really had much to add. Everything has been moving so fast for you guys! I'm looking forward to getting to that stage too. For me, the last 24 hours have been hectic! My land has been due to title for the last 6ish weeks, it's been sitting with council. Sent an email off to Resolve at the start of the week, as I knew i was coming up to another 90 days and thought I'd have to sign another form... Nope, as LMI quotes only last 6 months, my loan will expire on Saturday 12th April. Ok, fine. Submitted all the paperwork yesterday, will hope to have an answer in a couple of weeks. Wouldn't you know it, my land titled THIS MORNING. With 14 day settlement. And I've just applied for a new loan!! Sigh, talk about rubbish timing I'm sure it'll be fine, but ahhhhh stress haha! To be fair, everyone involved has been amazing with working to get it over the line, but I'm nowhere near as excited about the land titling as I should be because of everything else.... Fingers crossed it's just a formality to get the loan reapproved, and in 14 days I'll be a land owner! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 968Apr 10, 2014 2:11 pm Welcome back Ez85!!! So good to see a post from you wowee that timing sucks!!! I can't believe your land titled today. I hope they rush this new loan through for you now. Hopefully you will hear something soon, I'm guessing things will slow down over Easter but hopefully after that you get started I'm just hoping this rain doesn't go on for too long!! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 974Apr 10, 2014 6:46 pm We settled on March 19th and we're still waiting. I think all we're missing now is Developer Approval. Once engineering / drafting has finished with the final plans, do we have to sign them? I would have thought that would all be done by now. So close I can taste it! Congrats everyone! Enjoy the process. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 975Apr 10, 2014 6:50 pm Yeah you will have to sign the final plans, they emailed them too me to look over and make sure all correct and then mailed them too me a week or so later to sign and return. I got developers approval while waiting for land to settle so not sure what the hold up with yours is! All the waiting is so frustrating! I'm impatient at the best of times Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 976Apr 10, 2014 6:53 pm Yes you have to sign them Gaviscon Girl, along with engineering reports. Plans can change if developer approval is unsuccessful which is why it's the last thing on the to-do list. Nothing was done before my land settled, that's why I had such a long wait. I guess it's to be expected when you have a change over of 4 pre-start consultants! Blog: http://dandesbuild.blogspot.com.au Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 977Apr 10, 2014 7:01 pm I have the same question Gaviscon Girl. I am worried about having to look at the plans again. What if I miss something? Also, at which point were you guys informed if you are/are not on a bushfire zone? We are currently not in one but our neighbours are.
