I've used them for 2 stages so far. Frame and pre plaster. The farme inspection was very thorough and picked up many items, mainly because of contractors taking shortcuts. The pre plaster went quite well. Most services installed correctly . But some needed extra bracing etc. credit to carlisle who agreed to rectify everything picked up without arguing. I wouldn't think twice about using a qualified inspector. Keep in mind many firms out there provide the same service. I only went with NHI cause a SS for another volume builder recommended them. He said he is lucky to spend a few hours at each site per week and therefore cannot check to ensure the contractors do everything they are supposed to do. He prefers if people use private inspectors as that gives him an indication which contractors are doing their jobs properly or not which he then feeds back to head office.
