Re: Porter Davis homes 9377Mar 30, 2014 12:43 am So we finally turned on the spa today and the jets weren't working. So I left it on a bit longer and then heard dripping sounds below.... Rushed down to the kitchen and I had water streaming through an AC duct and a downlight fitting. Grrrr.......we had read horror stories like this before on other PD homes and clearly some of the PD plumbers are clearly not taking the necessary care. So now I have a wet ceiling in the kitchen, pendant lights that are potentially damaged, unable to turn on downlights in the kitchen due to uncertainty about damage, tiles that will need to be removed to get to where the leak is under the spa..... Really not happy with how this has turned out PD.....will post what happens after I contact New Home Care team on Monday given they're not available for a weekend. Hope they resolve it pronto for you. Your electricals are basically now unsafe.. not just your downlights! This means probably your whole house could essentially now be unsafe to live in. It should have picked up by builder's quality control. I know it happened to someone else in past. Next thing soggy ceiling plaster came off next day. May not happen in your case but don't be surprised if your ceiling will be down in next day or so. Remember water is there and making everything heavy by every minute. Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12174 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74206 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
