We have keys !! Very exciting been a stressful few days but we are in! PCI went well very minor details that needed to be fixed, painf chips here and there and a scratch in the floor. Day of handover (wed) everything had been fixed. We met the SS on site 8am wed morning and we worked thru the list that we had from oic so he could show us things had been fixed and they had. He said we then needed to head into head office to pick up keys and handover cheque and to just call on the way. Well guess what we got there and we were asked what time out appointment was?? Appointment?? At no stage was it communicated to us that we needed an appointment. Lucky for them a lovely lady was able to go throu everything with us. Since moving in we have found a couple of things not quite rite, the dead bolts on all external doors don't line up. We couldn't have known this earlier as SS doesn't have keys for them, this does concern me from a safety point of view. We had tv point out half way up the wall to mount the tv and after connecting everything the PowerPoint doesn't work. One of the pot draws doesnt have the self closing thing on it. All major IMO we have emailed SS and he is arranging to all have fixed. Now just have to work through the millions of boxes that crowd my beautiful house. I said to my partner last night that it doesn't feel real, our bedroom is so beautiful I feel like I am sleeping in a hotel room. Enjoy everyone Re: Porter Davis homes 9358Mar 28, 2014 9:19 am tlblhayward For those that are interested, I've uploaded our "finalised" (well, our almost set) selections for Hopetoun Interiors to my blog. Feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated... http://bendigowaldorf.blogspot.com/2014 ... tions.html Hi Tlb Interested to see you choose "moon dust" as the internal wall colour , have you seen any sample pic how the house will look like with that colour? p.s. we have been recommend the same colour by Hopetourn as well Re: Porter Davis homes 9359Mar 28, 2014 9:49 am Sambogirl81 Well we are in!! Re: Porter Davis homes 9360Mar 28, 2014 9:52 am Just popping my head in here... Our land titled yesterday! We are hoping to settle early next week. We've had our finance ready to go for about a month as we have been away and there was a chance that the land would title and therefore we'd need to settle when we were away. It didn't, but it is good for us now as we haven't had any running around to do for finance! PD is in the process of organising our soil test and at this stage we have a site start of early May. After 15 months of waiting, things are finally progressing and we are so excited!!!! Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12320 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
