I think the facade is looking great.
Good luck for the walk through. Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 768Oct 11, 2008 7:12 pm hey VJ
The house is looking very stylish. Looking forward to seeing the inside with all your furniture and decorating completed . Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 769Oct 11, 2008 8:38 pm Best of luck VJ, it all looks awesome so far. Geoff - Decophile. Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 770Oct 11, 2008 8:42 pm Looking great VJ! The garage door does look nice, we are having the same too. I don't think it is too dark, i think it fits well with the rest of the house.
Not long to go now.. Good Luck! [i]We built in Point Cook and are loving our new house. Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 771Oct 11, 2008 11:21 pm Thanks everyone!
I really hope that the garage door isn't too dark (too many different shades of brown on our facade). Our journey of building our 1st house is coming to an end....... and it's going to be more exciting!!!!!! Yes, we're getting busy arranging for the landscaping, driveway, window coverings and lighting! I'm getting excited looking for furnitures too! Sofa has arrived from King... Soon, the dining set from Image will arrive... and some furnitures from Natuzzi... Beddings (finally a latex bed for us!)... still looking for a nice bed head (saw one from Freedom, great price!).. DD and DS want to have a bunk bed and share a room i reckon they won't stand each other for even a week! Oh, another update.. just went to the house today... forgot to mention that the glass splashback is in! though it's a small portion only (back of the oven).. as half of it is window. kitchen bencthop is still missing wonder if the mirrored sliding doors to WIRs were already installed can't wait for a definite date for the walk through!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Thanks, Flissfloss. Yes, furniture shopping is very addictive.. but wait 'til you receive your credit card statement Quote: Looking forward to seeing the inside too! Clarity, we're looking forward to our walk through, as that's the only time I could get interior shots just before we get the keys... but up to now we haven't heard from our CSR re: the date Quote: It looks awesome, you definitely made the right choice with the garage door! All the stress of building is nearly over VJ - and now for the fun part! Thanks, Sharee. Also saw your thread.. looks like you might be in before us! Great progress! Really hope that we won't be stressed anymore 'til handover... hope all our electrical issues get fixed... Quote: Facade looks wonderful VJ. Hope you get handover soon! Thanks, HTB. Your avatar looks like you've got great progress on your house! Also love your facade! REally hope to get handover soon... but end of Oct is wishful thinking. As we haven't even done our walk through and it's already mid of the month! Went to the house today... we just saw thru the windows that the kitchen benchtop isn't in yet. And the dimmer/light switch outside of the HT room hasn't been moved yet We were hoping that they would fix it prior to our walk through.. but looks like they won't budge. Whatever happens, we will dispute it, even if it would take us to any tribunal Also found out that the downpipes are now connected to the plumbing (is am I saying the right thing?). Need to inform Stockland's fencing contractor on what we want to do with the brushed fence facing the secondary street. We have the option to just close it off (abut to the house) or put a gate (but we have to pay for the gate)... still undecided. Is it advisable to have a gate to the fence near the secondary street (where our pergola is) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! The garage door looks great too with the facade, very complimentary and matches with the front door and feature timber on the facade. More pics???? Re: Building our dream home.. walls no longer bare! 780Oct 15, 2008 10:21 pm Phoenix!!!
How come you are not posting new photos from your house? Quote: It wont be long now.....nearly there....just take deep breaths... Yes, that's what I'm actually doing. I've waited long enough... waiting for a few more days/weeks would be fine, as long as they give me a quality house. Quote: Cant wait to see the interior. You have great taste so its going to look stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, can't wait to put out all the stuff that we have bought so far Great taste? Quote: The garage door looks great too with the facade, very complimentary and matches with the front door and feature timber on the facade. Don't you think the garage door looks very dark? Probably you can't really tell in the photos... I really love it.. but whenever I see it with the timber windows/doors, I tend to agree with DH to stain the windows/doors to a darker shade to match with the garage door The other colour was a bit orangey.. that's why we opted for the darker one instead. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping!
