Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: French Door Security 4Jun 07, 2007 6:57 pm Yes, I saw qualital's products at DesignBuild in Sydney last Sunday. Very nice stuff. The Italians really know how to make doors.
Pity they are located in Melbourne. A always like to touch and play before I buy. Re: French Door Security 5Jun 07, 2007 7:27 pm Casa2
Not just the Italians . This kind of hardware and joinery was mainly developed in Germany and Austria. Most window hardware companies are German (Roto, Siegenia, Schuring, Hautau, Geze, Winkhaus, GU........) Maco is Austrian Re: French Door Security 6Jun 07, 2007 7:30 pm Pearl_07, I have the French doors in Cedar off my office.
The only locking device on mine are the ones you have on yours at the moment. I would not even bother to change what I have; to me they are the best way to go on the French Doors. Cedar is such a light wood; the bottom bolt is locked into hardwood, much stronger! I have a lot of stuff in my office, two computer monitors, TV, video, DVD, mini bar fridge…..a must!! Printer scanner…..you name it I have it. My office is up off my carport, and at night I would not know what was going on up there, accept for my alarm. But still I feel safe with these locks. This is my office, you can see the doors on the back wall of windows. You can also see the locks. Michell your office looks so cosy and inviting compared to the small goldfish bowl I work in!! Must help going to work each day when you have somewhere nice to go! Windowexpert - Thanks for the link. We were in Austria earlier this year and they do do doors and door hardware (amongst other things!)exceptionally well. Re: French Door Security 12Jun 08, 2007 9:40 am Your office looks like a restaurant.
Looks like a great place to eat lunch. 3xb Re: French Door Security 13Jun 08, 2007 10:55 am Pearl_07…I waited a long time to finally get my hands on what was once our “Guest House”! I spend a lot of hours in my office so I decided it was going to be like a second home to me……and it is. I love it.
3timesbuilda….a restaurant? Maybe that’s why I’m pounding on the pounds at the moment!!! And I thought it was because I sat on my backside to much!
