Our land is through Stocklands as well and we also had a few delays, all I can say is eventually it comes together and the "another week isn't going to kill me" is the perfect way to look at it. Re: First Home Builder & Buyer - Aussie Living - AMBERTON 14Jul 03, 2014 9:50 pm Some good info from Facebook Page: Amberton RA SPORTING OVALS - UPDATE FROM THE MEETING WITH STOCKLAND Thank you to all those residents who attended the meeting tonight, your support was fully appreciated and I hope that we see the same levels of attendance at the August 2014 meeting. Following the meeting this evening Stockland have openly and publicly committed to the following: Stockland will in accordance with the Local Structure Plan fund and construct: Local Facilities (sporting ovals) 1.Two AFL Ovals 2.Four Soccer Pitches which will sit over the AFL Ovals 3.A Basket Ball Court 4.Cricket Pitches 5. Exercise Equipment 6. BBQ's 7.Water fountains; and 8. Car Parking All of the above require permission from the City of Wanneroo prior to construction commencing, however, all of items 1-8 above are within the scope of the local structure plan. District Facilities Stockland are seeking to lobby council, in conjunction with the Amberton Residents to seek approval from the City of Wanneroo to have District Facilities in Amberton. This would mean that there may be additional facilities added to the local facilities. Stockland is of the opinion that the population growth and demographics of Amberton indicates that these facilities are needed and much more so than when the original plans for the sporting ovals were submitted to the City of Wanneroo. If approved we could see additional facilities e.g. Club Rooms, Change Rooms, Toilets and Floodlights. Stockland will be submitting an application to the City of Wanneroo to have the sporting ovals in Amberton recognised as district facilities within the next 2-4 weeks but if it is approval is not granted, Stockland will still construct the sporting ovals with all of the local facilities outlined above. Next Steps August 2014 - Plans to be presented at the next Amberton Residents Association Meeting - Wednesday 6 August. You will be asked for your views to contribute to a plan that will best suit the majority August 2014 - October 2014 - Stockland will be working on the plans for submission to the City of Wanneroo. October 2014 - Plans submited to the City of Wanneroo. Approval may take 2-3 months. January 2015 - Construction of the sporting ovals begins. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
