Browse Forums Building A New House Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 3Feb 26, 2014 11:27 am I know Clarendon have a 6 bedroom design that is double in their Crestmead range. This is in QLD though, and I don't think that range is in NSW. So not sure how helpful, but it might be a good starting point for ideas. Here is a link to the Crestmead 46: http://qld.clarendon.com.au/homes/detail/5869. Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 4Feb 26, 2014 12:36 pm I imagine there'd be a few 5-bed designs that could be extended to 6 without a massive amount of extra expense? You'd want to make sure the design was right of course (not just a dumb box tacked on the back which you can only get to through another bedroom for example ), but it should be possible to do it properly ... you really only need to make sure you've got airflow, light, storage & bathroom access to all rooms. It could probably provide you an "alfresco" downstairs, or be over an enlarged rumpus or living area? Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 5Feb 26, 2014 12:42 pm Looks like you're in Vic? Burbank have a number of large double storey houses that can be optioned to 6 bedrooms. Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. Handover completed 27/09/2013 and now moved in. Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 6Feb 26, 2014 12:45 pm I am in VIC. The Crestmead from Clarendon looks great but I can't find the laundry?? Even if I can use the plans as a base for a custom builder. I'll have another look at Burbank, I couldn't find anything when I looked earlier but i'll have another squizz! Thanks Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 7Feb 26, 2014 12:52 pm They won't be 6 bed by default - you'll need to go through and look at the various floor plan options they offer on each design. For example we built a Forrester 4300 which is 6 bed the way we've done it. Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. Handover completed 27/09/2013 and now moved in. Re: 6 bed floor plans needed!! 9Feb 26, 2014 1:22 pm I don't think getting 6 bedrooms is going to be the issue, any 5bed + study can usually be configured to 6 bed. You need to think about how many bathrooms/toilets, separate living areas, how much garage space (cars as well as bikes and kids toys) you'll need for a family of 6 or 7. Don't forget about storage space either. Once you have a list of all the rooms you need then a custom designer/builder will be your best bet.
