From my little knowledge on all things internet, this is what I plan to be doing.
Getting data points added to rooms in the house I want to access the computer with for the internet.
Having the data points/internet/nbn or what ever just to the garage, means I can only use Wireless internet, otherwise i have to run a very long blue cable down the floor to the room i want the internet in. (doesn't look nice)
the best option is to extend your Hardwired internet from the garage to areas of the house via Data-points- basically running cat5 or 6 Cable in the roof, to a physical location in the Bedrrom, media room, lounge room.
This basically enables me to have hardwired Internet to any room I want, and also doesn't limit me to using Wireless only, it gives me maximum internet speed anywhere in the house that has a Data - point.
But you have to pay to get this done.
I hope this helps.
Really wish I had of specified this at my electrical appointment haha. Oh well, I'll just have to make sure the sparky does it when he does the lights.
