Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 4815Feb 11, 2014 4:57 pm Vetra43 Here are couple pictures of our full stained(charcoal) KD staircase. Still don't have a final picture, but should give an idea. Keep in mind the steps are still covered with planks just to protect the wood from possible damage by trades shoes. Was about 5K upgrade for me too. that's a nice staircase for only $5k - I say "only" cause the prices of most "wow" staircases are astronomical - but they are a work of art and virtually a craftsmans speciality. would had went KD boards instead of carpet except I have 2 little ones and the carpet is better for their grip and cushioning their falls - as witnessed countless times in our current house - which is a 3 level house. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 4816Feb 12, 2014 7:40 am courthaven Wondering if anyone out there upgrade the kitchen bench and the breakfast island to 40mm thickness? Do you know the price to upgrade from 20mm to 40mm? Thanks $450 per area eg: kitchen bench from 20mm to 40mm $450 butlers panty bench from 20mm to 40mm $450 then ontop of that you pay more again if you upgrade the stone from category 1 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 4817Feb 12, 2014 6:26 pm Hi Everyone, Need some advice...we are almost at lockup stage. We have not heard from our CLE since construction began. Met The SS only once when he took us to inspect the house. (after numorouse text messages requasting for an inspection) Should we be concerned? (after numorouse text messages requasting for an inspection) Should we be concerned? Once construction starts your CLE will only contact you for clarifications, etc - if the CLE doesn't need any clarifications, etc they wont contact you. Your SS is supposed to contact you weekly regarding progress of build. The fact that he hasn't done that doesn't mean the build is not good - but this is when you should get into contact with your CLE to say "why aren't I getting weekly updates from the SS?". If you have concerns regarding your build hire your own independent inspector. We will be having independent inspections during the build so it will be important to be having regular discussions/updates from the SS. David 0 5023 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6226 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14182 |
