Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: Concrete Roof Tiles and other Externals - help!! 4Oct 06, 2008 11:04 pm I wouldn't use the Walnut as the house has pale grey colours (Surfmist). I'd use the Storm Grey or Mineral.
Might be worth giving Boral a call and asking if there are any houses near you that use the roof colour you're looking at. Judie Re: Concrete Roof Tiles and other Externals - help!! 5Oct 07, 2008 11:30 am If your looking for something to just blend into the background, my choice would be the
Macquarie Mineral. Ring the supplier and ask for a sample to be sent to you! The forum voted for six windows to the front and two horizontal ones on the side but it was just too much for me so I spent more and more time fiddling and am comfortable with this.
That's a great idea Judie, I'm going to call them right now, except it's probably too late dammit, will call tomorrow. Michelle do you have a sample of the Mineral? Although it's not my favorite profile it's looking like the only colour that is close to what I want. I just don't know if it might be too wishy washy with the nougat bricks, do you have a sample of those too? I am going to ring Boral and hopefully they can send me a couple of samples. What really annoys me is that for example the storm grey colour looks different in all three photos, is it the same colour on all profiles? And is the mineral on the concrete the same colour as the terracotta mineral? Not expecting answers, just expressing frustrations! Re: Concrete Roof Tiles and other Externals - help!! 8Oct 07, 2008 4:31 pm This is a display home here in Perth that we found some of the colours because we like the way they all went together. For the roof here is an example in colourbond pale grey or like a shale grey. Gutters are the same as the roof and fascia is matched to the render. The garage door on this display is surfmist. The downpipes are painted the same colour as the render so that they blend in and don't stand out I know this is a different feel to your house but they are all similar in the colours you are looking at except for it being all over render. The windows were white frames. Not sure of the render colour sorry. Loving what you have done so far Rachelle. My vote only because its what I would choose is the Macquarie Storm Grey. Sorry Rachelle, I don’t keep bricks and roof tiles, my office gets a bit crowded as it is. I only keep the selections I use most. Sorry about that. If we were going with a colorbond roof we'd go for Shale grey, which I think is in that pic.
Thanks Michelle, yes I can imagine you'd get pretty crowded if you tried to store brick and roof tile samples!!! Thanks for your advice! I'm going to call them for some samples now, wish me luck!
