Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 91Feb 07, 2014 7:14 pm Yay Snowflake! Your house is coming along nicely! I actually just drove past your house looking good! And joshnjacqui I just realised I drive past your house everytime I drive to mine! Love the colours you've chosen! - Did you find out your PCI date today? From looking at your progress on here I would say we're maybe just over a month behind you? We are expecting our second bub on 7th May and the owner of the rental we're in at the moment has this house on the market so we're really hoping our place is done by mid April at the latest! Just have to sit back and cross our fingers in the meantime We have walls now and internal garage door so I would say lock up will be early next week! Very exciting!!! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 92Feb 07, 2014 7:16 pm Also, does everyone just help themselves in the fence to check out their houses? I've been too paranoid lol! I wonder if Mirvac really cares? Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 93Feb 08, 2014 9:27 pm I stick my hands in the holes in the fence to take piccies. But I've got a tour with my sire manager on Monday so hopefully I can get some better shots. It should be sometime during that week anyway. Its waaaay inside the contract period, which is awesome!
re the going inside the fence. All ill say is that I may or may not have gone inside the fence. hahaha. But Craig is really good, during the week I'm pretty sure he is near by most of the time and he's been really helpful to us at short notice for site visits. I don't think he minds meeting people there for a look, Mirvac would probably rather that than us jumping a fence. Plus you can get a better look if you actually get to go inside the house once its locked up. Fingers crossed they get it done in time for you, I rekon you should be fine. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 95Feb 10, 2014 8:19 am House is looking good too Snowflake, It is amazing how quick it goes up! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 96Feb 11, 2014 8:55 pm Hey snowflake, your place is coming together real quick. I was there two weekends ago and seen the frames up then last weekend seen the brickwork was done, looking great. Yeah those pegs have been there for a while so don't think it means too much. We finally had our colour appointment today. How long did it take all you guys to start building once you had your colour appointment? Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 97Feb 11, 2014 9:18 pm Joshnjacqui - I found those tiles you chose for your splashback hidden away last weekend at Di Lorenzo. We are picking the same but the white and cream colour, they look great. Snowflake - I remember you saying earlier you are building the ivy as well, did I count 4 bedrooms when I looked at your house last weekend? Cant go wrong with neutral colours though. All our tiling has been done, except for the splashback, waiting for them to come from Italy! lol should be here this week. Ill put a pic up when they are done. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 99Feb 12, 2014 8:25 am Waitey89 We finally had our colour appointment today. How long did it take all you guys to start building once you had your colour appointment? Took a couple months after our colour appointment. But I'd say it varies depending on when you get your colour appointment done. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 100Feb 12, 2014 10:36 am It took about 3 months from my colours to any action on my block. I asked Craig and he thinks they should be starting to scrape and flatten your block by the end of this week. Nope only 3 bedrooms, they are a descent size. I upgraded my tiles so I'm tiling to roof level and it was quite reasonable. I can't believe how quick the houses are going up.
