I did a lot of that when deciding roof colours and render colours. People are generally taken aback but flattered and helpful. We did that as they have standard broadway facade. But they had absolutely no idea about anything at all. All they knew that house was built by henley, lol. Re: What render colour is this? 5Jan 29, 2014 2:07 pm Have you thought about taking the photo to henley and then asking them to match with their colour samples? Re: What render colour is this? 7Jan 29, 2014 3:12 pm tamarind which one? the beam or arch at the entrance? its mocha or burnt siena, cross between Only the projection infront of entrance door is rendered in this house. and it is rendered in one single colour. thanks for pointing to the colours, will check them out. Re: What render colour is this? 8Jan 29, 2014 3:14 pm stayxtrue Have you thought about taking the photo to henley and then asking them to match with their colour samples? we have booked another colouring appointment with our builder, as we need to change quite a few things. This time will take these photos with me for them to check and confirm. Re: What render colour is this? 9Jan 29, 2014 3:19 pm EmyN Bugger!! Haha. How about sneaking up and scraping off a piece and taking it for analysis? This house-building process makes loonies of all of us! this is so true. i'm checking progress on a particular house for bricks. this is the only house closer from us with this particular bricks. bricks were not washed and it was hard to figure out how they will look at the end. every time i went this house and parked across the house. next door neighbors were out and staring at me, like i was going to steal the whole house, lol. it was hilarious. couple of times picked up sample brick from construction sites. hard to forget once builder site alarm went off, and i was running like anything Re: What render colour is this? 10Jan 29, 2014 3:23 pm mirz EmyN Bugger!! I wanted to measure someones driveway to get a rough idea on how much it would cost and the alarm went off and neighbours came out! So i drove away! haha! Not that I was doing anything wrong at all! Re: What render colour is this? 11Jan 29, 2014 7:51 pm After some research over internet, it seems like either 1. shipwreck. Or 2. Light leather What do you think? Thanks. Re: What render colour is this? 12Jan 30, 2014 7:11 am What brand are they? Any pictures to save lazy people who don't want to google? The photo seems to show more of a sandy colour. But it can change a lot in direct sunlight... only way to be sure is to get a sample pot and do a couple of coats on a bit of cardboard then hold it out in the sun! Re: What render colour is this? 17Jan 30, 2014 2:56 pm and when looking at the render and bricks at the colour appointment you are looking at samples inside in unnatural light. Which will look completely different in late afternoon orange sunlight in summer, or on a cold blue overcast winter day. What you are best to do is find the colour you like on a display home and ask the builder for the colour selections for that display. Going to give builder name of their display house for render and will go from there. That is so correct specially in my case, so hard to visualize render colour just for 15x15 mm sample board in Cosham. At least brick companies give you addresses to have a better idea. Unfortunately it's not the case with dulux when it comes to render colours. We knocked on so many people houses to findout their render colours, but apparently no one knows. Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well. A Renderer I… 12 18012 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7950 |
