I would be asking them to try & fix the sills, that's a pretty big gap. What is the reason for it being a big one like that? "That's the way we do it" is the answer I got....:S That was from RI, the Electrician who came in and changed it said he didn't understand why they keep using those massive ones in the recesses as he is continually going out & replacing them with slimline ones. Have you go a PCI date yet? building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Redink SOR rear build - PCI in sight...sort of? 576Jan 23, 2014 4:46 pm Nope. Still guessing 30/31st. Literally all we have is a/c panel and missed PowerPoint. In that time you guys have gotten all your flooring and curtains! Gah! So disorganised! Re: Redink SOR rear build - PCI in sight...sort of? 577Jan 23, 2014 5:06 pm Anyway it's no biggie. I left plenty of time for them to mess around before I have time off from work. Don't want the keys too much before I have time off anyway. It's more that I know since early dec there has only been a handful of things to do, yet we won't move in til march! Crazy! Re: Redink SOR rear build - PCI in sight...sort of? 578Jan 24, 2014 3:45 pm Gah! So power point got done today. After being told since dec we were working towards end of Jan for PCI – this has now been changed to the ‘week of the 3rd’. So frustrated. We have been very patient, but given the only thing left to do is to fix the broken tiles and put in the a/c control panel – I am so confused as to why the PCI needs to be delayed? Lots of people did PCI with no a/c panel / some even no electricity! Haha. What I find more annoying is that given they have all of next week to do TWO minor jobs – why cant they at least give us a set PCI date? Come on?! Everyone else gets a fricken date! I would at least feel a little more positive if I can see that they are actually pushing towards a concrete date… rather than just shifting dates likes they are currently doing. Anyway – I don’t feel so silly now booking leave from the 24th Feb – it is looking more and more like this is around when we will get keys. I keep being annoyed by the fact that this house was effectively finished before xmas with only services, stove top, one missed powerpoint, garage door and a/c control panel needing to go in after xmas Re: Redink SOR rear build - PCI in sight...sort of? 579Jan 24, 2014 6:31 pm Absolutely you should be annoyed. No reason I think as to why they can't put more emphasis on your job to have it done sooner considering such little work remains! I have been annoyed by the slowness at the end of my build but I am thankful I am not having to wait that extra week or so like you are Get an explanation from your SS at PCI or whenever you see him. Anyway, not worth worrying about but was nice to have a little rant! The house will get done and I am pleased that they are trying to get it right before handover.
