Different developers and so on, would have been nice to have it paid but it's all good, I have already paid it Boulevard must be quite flat then? For some reason I did hear that 2 stories have cheaper site costs... But can't be too sure. Fairly flat! Plus we're not building close to the easement at the back of the house. If ure building close to easement ur site cost will be higher! I was originally quoted $14500 site cost for a single storey building fairly close to the easement.!! Re: fixed site cost 18Jan 15, 2014 8:21 am we been quoted fixed site cost $14579 in initial quote. Our block is very flat, and they have just done holes to collect soil samples. we have 2m easement only at the back, which would be about 8m from the building. just wondering if there are any chances of fixed site cost to go down during tender? Re: fixed site cost 19Jan 15, 2014 8:50 am Unlikely, they will hope the actual site costs don't end up costing them that amount, and it will make up for the huge loss they make on someone else's block where they hit rock or something worse. It ends up being a pseudo insurance policy for you, and a hedged bet for them. Re: fixed site cost 20Jan 15, 2014 9:07 am I doubt they will drop it, With us they told us it was going to cost much more! However we had already locked ours in. So even though 12,500 is fairly expensive considering the house opposite us only paid 5k! they seem to be all over the place! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17519 So AFAIk the outcomes of the BAL ratings form part of a clause that allows them to pass these costs on to you. However the more relevant detail is how did it go from 19… 1 9152 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37086 |
