Browse Forums Feng Shui 1 Dec 27, 2013 5:34 pm We have an ensuite - I know it is technically bad feng shui, but we wanted one, and hoped to do other things to make it less "bad". We had a fs person in, and nothing was mentioned, but I recently read a post by a fs expert and she said that having your feet ( whilst in bed) facing the vanities etc meant death and cancer etc etc..and now I am in panic mode. Our bed bottom faces the vanities - (and looking from the bed) the spa on the left and shower on the right of the facing wall (wc is in a separate room in the rh corner of that wall). We are putting a cupboard unit in between the bed and the vanities - only about 1 m high with a tv ( I know - bad fs) on it...Can any expert please comment on this as the death thing worries me..... what can we do to lessen the bad effect.... Thanks Re: ensuite 2Dec 27, 2013 5:45 pm Not sure I have ever heard that and ensuites I do not think are bad Feng Shui. I have lived in Singapore for the past 20 years and travelled throughout Asia and ensuites are the norm. The door to the ensuite should not face your bed (when you lie in bed your feet point to the door) and nor should mirrors or tvs. There is a wall between the spa and vanities is there not?? or is this open concept. If open concept get some movable screens. I would take all of this rather lightly to be honest. There are literally 1,000s of bad feng shui examples all throughout asia and everywhere for that matter. Cheers Mark Re: ensuite 3Jan 14, 2014 7:37 am Although it is still technically bad feng sui, I agree with Mark that I would also take this rather lightly. It is such a small thing compared to other much more important factors in feng sui such as the location and the orientation of your house. IMHO the only reason why it is bad feng sui is that bad things/energy can come directly into your bedroom. Then, what kind of bad things can come from ensuite? Moisture, bad smell, hot humid air, mould and bacteria, may be? And you can install a good fan to get rid of them (with better motor and possibly ducted outside), and close the door to ensuite all the time. And if you are worried about your bed bottom facing the vanity, you can change the bed orientation or move your bed slightly. Just make sure that your bed head is not facing the North (East and South are preferred but West is also okay). I must admit that I am a huge feng sui enthusiast, thanks to my father, but I'd say I have more chance of getting cancer by smoking and bad eating habits than my bed bottom facing the vanity... Jay Re: ensuite 5Jan 15, 2014 6:58 am Take it lightly. Actually it is not bad Feng Shui to have an ensuite for bedroom. It is actually not good when you can see thru the door directly on your bed (head). ie: ensuite door is next to head of your bed. or head of your bed is next to bedroom door and opposite door is the toilet.. lol if i have understood your dimensions correctly my suggestions include using the smallest toilet and wall hung handbasin eg Caroma Urbane with in wall cistern, small wall… 1 15398 From the information posted it looks to me your rumpus room is nothing more than extended garage. That will present a number of challenges. Single brick wall between… 2 13767 |
