Yay for building to begin! Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 50Jan 18, 2014 12:00 am Earthworks have started woohoo. We got an email Monday to say earthworks would be completed by the 27th January then the following day an email to say slab was likely to occur around 20th Feb so yayyy for some action & as we live so close we tend to take a slight detour most days to see what's happening. I must say so far everyone we have dealt with at Redink have been great & got back to us within the hour if I have emailed them with any questions, our prestart lady is great!!!! No complaints so far but I realise that it is likely to go down hill from this stage onwards. Drove past your place today Jcbissor and saw all your lovely bricks, how exciting Re: First build with Redink Homes 51Jan 18, 2014 1:20 am Hehe yeah! We have the half of a house outside, all happened in the last four days, yay! I keep forgetting where yours is, want to build stalk We go to ours every day and have been for so long haha, were in Madora bay atm so nice to stop off on the way home Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: First build with Redink Homes 52Jan 18, 2014 6:13 am Good news! I wouldn't say it goes downhill... There are just more things to keep an eye on I have still found the communication good ie: within the day usually, but I don't get much unprompted. communication Re: First build with Redink Homes 53Jan 18, 2014 10:35 am I agree with asj, the communication is still great, but you need to ask, nothing is volunteered!! building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: First build with Redink Homes 54Jan 28, 2014 5:30 pm Hi Torz, I know you're still waiting for slab, but it's almost Feb! We are in pre, pre start mode so trying to decide on colors etc. Just looking back at your exterior selections and wondering what colours you used. We woul Re: First build with Redink Homes 55Jan 28, 2014 5:35 pm Sorry, accidentally hit post:-P we would like a light roof and a light render. We're planning to add darker contrast via the veranda poles, front door, window frames and garage door. Looks like you chose a light roof and render with dark window frame and charcoal ish accent render, maybe? I wasn't entirely sure which sample went with what. and it's so hard to see the true colours via my computer. Hope that makes sense. Thanks Re: First build with Redink Homes 56Jan 30, 2014 12:07 pm Hey Ardie sorry for the late reply we are having a shale grey roof, surf mist & monument render with charcoal windows, surf mist fascia & monument gutters. When we went for our meeting with the interior designer we were completely lost with what to do out front we could not decide on colours so that is what she advised us & said it would look good we had this confirmed when we went to Pre-start & our Pre-start lady said she loved the colours we had chosen & it was very similar to her brothers that she had designed for him & it looked fantastic so that made us feel a lot better!!! Hope this helps & good luck with Pre-start Re: First build with Redink Homes 57Jan 30, 2014 1:58 pm Thank you so much. Super helpful. We may end up copying you. Hope everything moves along smoothly for you! Re: First build with Redink Homes 58Feb 04, 2014 1:19 pm Hey Torz, Hows everything coming along..
