Nelson 46 Box Hill

Once demolishing occurs, I need to organise the pool to be dug and concreted in the back yard and then the pool people put a lid on it and fence it off as the concrete needs to cure ?? for a couple of months. CH will then build the house in record time (I hope) and the pool people will come back and finish the pool- tiling, water etc.
Anyway, it seems that I need to wait now for the council to do what they have to do and the bank to do what they have to do and pray it all comes together by 20th January or thereabouts.
We are getting closer though!

Sounds like a fantastic and big plan!

Carlisle build time can be fast, our house was from mid August till mid-late November [SE water held up the build process for almost a month - so a gap in the timeline below] (several weeks of tradies fixing up their slack/sloppy jobs seems to take a long time of the build at the end. Those who do it right don't have to return and make more money with less call backs

)

How have you gone with site costs & having a pool in before the build - as Carlisle can be picky about sites?

I just wanted to post a message on here to the lovely ppl at Carlisle. Today we signed our contracts and our CSE was fantastic.. As we were promised the soft copy of the contract arrived in my email before we got home and we also received the information from the water board.

Thanks heaps... Looking forward to the rest of the process.

Received a letter yesterday confirming receipt of my deposit and advising CLE will be appointed soon (presumably early in Jan), looking forward to the Colour Browse! Went to a Spectra Sneak Peek session, but that was before we had finalised our builder, so going to be looking pretty closely this time around

Has anyone taken out the T range flooring pack and has upgraded to category 3 bamboo flooring? Interested to know how much extra you paid on top of the$9500 flooring pack?

ALSO

Has anyone upgrade their kitchen to Silk.Laminex or Vinyl wrap?

We bought the Afinity Range flooring pack and we're told that to change to just Cat 2 for laminate only (sticking with cat 1 carpet), it will he about $4000. I can only guess that Cat 3 will be a few k more again.

We have gone for Laminex silk - espresso ligna for our kitchen. Turned out to be much better than I was expecting it. Also not overly pricey to upgrade - 400$ approx. for whole kitchen. Don't know about vinylwrap, sorry.

We have upgraded to Laminex Silk in our sales Quote and its $440 for our entire kitchen, which is huge.

we upgraded all our wet areas. Laundry, power room, bathroom,toilet and ensuite. This was on the serrento 43. This would be close to 60sqm I think. Cost was a little over 2k for the 300x600 porcelain tile (grey ash) upgrade. We were told the cost was due to labour, not the cost of the tile.

Here are the pictures of my kitchen with espresso ligna silk and Ensuite with Licorice. I much prefer the look of silk and wish I could go back and change my bathrooms and laundry as well to silk finish to be frank. An upgrade definitely worth the cost. I could be wrong but silk finish kitchen upgrade with other builders looks to be around 1K.

Ensuite ..... Excuse all the tiling dust. Licorice linea is still a very nice color and I quite like it everywhere in my home. And then may be husband is correct in saying that all those glossy tiles and silk finish might have been overwhelming perhaps

We are doing vinyl wrap to Milano 46 kitchen. Base cupboards $2547.

Hi Vetra43.. your kitchen looks fantastic!!! I Like the gloss finish on it. For an extra small cost $400 odd dollars spent on the Silk Laminex is worth it.

Your floor tilrs in the kitchen look great also? What sort are they? Are they ceramic Cat 1 tiles?

it gives me a prety good idea... although it a bit pricey... but it does look great aroind the edges.. like tje wrap gloss finish!!
